Application of Perlite Plaster
Preparation and Application:
Before starting the application, any substances that may prevent adhesion should be cleaned from the surface. Pour a sufficient amount of water into a clean container. Perlite Plaster is sprinkled until it exceeds the water level by 1 cm. Let it sit for a few minutes, then mix until the plaster reaches a dough-like consistency without lumps. The mixture is now ready for use. The prepared mixture can be used for approximately 1 hour. The application is done with a screed, plaster trowel, and steel spatula. Any marks or unevenness are smoothed after the plaster starts to harden.
Perlite Plaster is applied directly to brick, aerated concrete, etc., wall surfaces in layers between 5-40 mm, and to ceiling and raw concrete surfaces in layers between 5-20 mm.
Recommendations:
- Do not apply a layer thinner than 5 mm in a single coat.
- Do not add water or plaster after mixing.
- Do not mix Perlite Plaster with any other materials.
- If using a mechanical mixer, use it at low speed.
- The temperature of the application environment should be at least +5 °C.
- Dry and hot surfaces should be moistened before application to ensure proper adhesion.
Storage Conditions:
Perlite Plaster should be stacked no higher than 20 bags. It is recommended to store Perlite Plaster in a dry, moisture-free, and enclosed environment, on pallets, and to use it within 1 year. Poor storage conditions or exceeding the recommended usage time may affect the quality of Perlite Plaster.
